Warm hospitality, Greek coastal towns and dazzling Istanbul make this cruise a once-in-a-lifetime break. Enjoy inspiring culture, historic architecture and idyllic landscapes with the EUROPA 2.

Highlights of this cruise:

Piraeus (Athens)/Greece
The EUROPA 2 will be waiting in the port of Athens.

Green hills and wide sandy beaches that invite you to take a dip await you on Skiathos. Whether you decide to go swimming, hiking or visit the old harbour with its boats, the little streets, cafes, tavernas and shops – you’ll have a wonderful day ashore here.

Volos is the starting point for your excursion to the fascinating Meteora monastery complex* in its breathtaking setting on a cliff several hundred metres high. The monasteries are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are among the most impressive sights in the Mediterranean region.

Kavala is one of the most attractive cities in Greece and features an impressive old town. Its harbour promenade is an inviting place to spend some time. Visit the town of Philippi*, which was founded in 4 BC and see the acropolis, the theatre and the Roman road Via Egnatia. Or find out more about the diverse flora and fauna with a hike* through the nature conservation area of the Nestos gorge*.

Istanbul/Turkey, arrival 6.00 hrs
Ancient Istanbul on the peninsula between the Golden Horn, the Sea of Marmara and the Bosporus seems destined to unite East and West like no other city. Visit the Blue Mosque, the lively bazaar and the Hagia Sophia. For a laid-back alternative, take a boat trip* on the Bosporus past sultans’ palaces, grand Ottoman wooden houses and historic forts.

Pastel-coloured classical villas and deserted beaches are typical of Ermoupoli on Syros, where unspoilt Greece is waiting to be discovered. Explore the old town with its charming streets.

Thira on Santorini can be recognised from its white and blue cube-shaped houses at the edge of a crater, which make it one of the most beautiful towns in Greece. The narrow winding lanes invite you to take a stroll and discover some Greek cuisine in the rustic tavernas. Alternatively, you can take to the water to experience Santorini’s scenery from a different perspective in a catamaran*.
